Winston

Winston, New Mexico

St. Cloud’s Winston mine and processing plant are located approximately 35 miles west of Interstate 25, midway between Albuquerque, New Mexico and El Paso, Texas. The mine was opened in 1991 and is the source of St. Cloud’s best-selling product, Winston Zeolite. Additionally, the Winston plant has an impressive capacity of 50,000 tons per year.

In 2015, St. Cloud completed construction of an additional crushing and screening facility to expand production capacity, process Ash Meadows and Bowie products, and consolidate operations at a single centralized location. This is the Winston facility you see today. Raw St. Cloud ores are brought to the facility and processed similarly to existing Winston products, which has allowed for consistent QA/QC and resulted in an expansion of the products available from our Winston facility.

St. Cloud completed a major exploration and exploration drilling program outside the active mining area in 2016. Utilizing the results of our reverse circulation drilling program, St. Cloud developed an ongoing plan to block out an additional 10 years of proven reserves at the Winston site. The program also identified additional resources of mineable clinoptilolite (a zeolite mineral) that will be sampled starting in 2018.
